The Christmas season is the most exciting time of the year. Here are some ways to enjoy Christmas in Canada.
1, Illumination of the town
2, Christmas market
3, School events
Incidentally, in Canada, we do not call it “Christmas season” but “holiday season”. In multicultural Canada, people are different in what religion they believe in. Over 70% of Canadians are Christians, but most other immigrants are not. This is so due to the consideration not to put out a strong Christian color. Immigration is increasing every year, so calling it a “holiday season” is more appropriate in Canadian society.
1, Illumination of the town

As in Japan, illuminations appear in the city at the beginning of the holiday season. In particular, many houses are more splendidly decorated than in Japan, so just walking around residential areas is enjoyable.
2, Christmas Market in Downtown

The Vancouver Christmas Market, which heralds the arrival of the Christmas season in Vancouver, opened on November 16.
The secret behind the popularity of this event, which has been held since 2010, is the opportunity to experience an authentic German-style market in Vancouver. Although smaller in scale than Japanese Christmas markets, it is still an enjoyable experience.
With colorful decorations, gifts by artists, sweet and fragrant food and drinks, and live music, everyone can enjoy the Christmas spirit here.
3, School events

Many international students will be attending school. Many language schools and colleges hold Christmas school events.
It is a good opportunity to have fun with people from different classes, so I encourage you to participate. By the way, this time I made posters and candy houses with my friends. I had a great time.
Come out and enjoy Christmas in Vancouver!!
